Paris-aligned or net zero investing usually rests upon two pillars. The first is decarbonization, namely decreasing your exposure to a problem source, such as carbon emissions. The second focuses on increasing your exposure to climate solutions, namely to companies working towards fixing the problem.

No one yet knows how the transition to net zero will play out. What is certain, however, is that climate change is going to lead to massive disruption in the way economies work and in the way that we will be able to invest.

In Storebrand, we see investing sustainably as the only way to invest and have been doing so for more than 25 years. This journey has seen us become one of the founding members of the UNPRI as well as leading several sustainability initiatives at international level. Internally this means that all the groups' funds must adhere to the group-wide sustainability policy as does the day-to-day operation of our offices.

During this presentation, we will demonstrate how Storebrand applies its long experience and international renown to make a significant sustainable impact. We will also be introducing two of Storebrand funds – one active and one passive – that benefit from the group's experience whilst also continuously adapting to reflect the transitioning sustainable landscape. In our view, this combination is optimal to not only have a positive short-term impact but also to prepare to meet future challenges and opportunities.
